Peace -- and welcome!

Islam was established as a religion and way of life more than 1400 years ago, when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the revelation of the Holy Qur’an and continued the message of Islamic monotheism preached by the earlier prophets such as Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon them all.

Today, Muslims account for approximately one-fifth of the world's population. In 2008 the Vatican declared that Islam had become the world's largest religious denomination.
